CivNET

Introduction

CivNET is a networked version of Civilization. It requires Windows, and it will work over modem, hotseat, IPX, or IP. I don't have a copy yet, but here's what I've gathered off the net.

Finding Players

If you're looking to find players, there are a few options for you:

• #civnet on IRC is another good place to try.
• Ned Bryant has created the Civnet Challenge Board for those looking to host and play over the Internet.

Getting it to Work

Some users report no problems getting it to work, while others can't seem to get it to work at all. Microprose used to have pages on the game, but now they don't seem to be there. You can look at their PR page, and try to dig up something useful there.
