This page is maintained by Mark Lilback, and I've been a fan of both the board and computer games since 1992. After a while, the the George Washington Unviersity Gaming Society (of which I was a founding member) had created various expansions to the board game and placed them on our gopher server.
After the WWW began to be used for non-scientific purposes (a short while after Mosaic was created), GWUGS decided to set up a WWW site. At the same time, I decided it would be worth while to create The Civ Page. My main reason was to provide easy access to the board game expansions, and to provide links to information that was not in the computer game FAQ (most specifically, macintosh specific information).
I'm webmaster for Internet Interstate, an Internet service provider located in Bethesda, MD. I also do freelance computer consulting for various friends and contacts I've made. I am a Macintosh and Unix user, and I avoid Windoze like the plague (except for when I'm using SoftWindows on my PowerMac to play Avalon Hill's Advanced Civilization and Micrprose's CivNET). I'm also a rabid gamer (both board, computer, and role-playing). If you want to find out more about me, take a look at my home page.
